Our WHY!

Love, legacy, and every tiny heartbeat

True Amor Foundation was created to honor Princess True and bring hope to families facing congenital heart defects, conditions, and infant loss. Our WHY is love, legacy, and the belief that every child deserves a healthy heart.

Our why

On June 29, 2025, our lives changed forever.

At 11:44 PM, we lost our beautiful, healthy 8-month-old baby girl to sudden heart failure. She was our answered prayer — a joyful, vibrant child with no signs of any health complications. She was perfect in every way.

With our two boys and our precious daughter, our family felt complete. We had taken steps to grow no more, and we were content, fulfilled, and deeply grateful.

But on our way back home, everything shifted. She woke up with a cry that sounded different, and we immediately pulled over. As we held her, we knew something wasn't right — her breathing was off. We rushed to get her medical help.

For several agonizing hours, doctors, nurses, cardiologists, trauma teams, and respiratory therapists worked tirelessly. She was resuscitated four times and endured multiple shocks to her tiny body. Despite every effort, she took her final breath that night.

Though our time with True Amor was far too short, her life left an eternal imprint on our hearts. In just eight beautiful months, she taught us the depths of love, the beauty of innocence, and the fragility of life.

Like Job, we find ourselves in a place we never imagined — grieving a loss that words cannot carry. But also like Job, we hold on to faith, even in the questions. Even in the silence. Even in the pain.

“The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
— Job 1:21

True Amor's legacy is not defined by the number of her days, but by the love she inspired, the faith she awakened, and the purpose she now fuels.

From her story, a mission has been born — a mission to protect the tiny beats of other children, to raise awareness, and to turn unimaginable pain into a movement of healing and hope. Her name — True Amor — means true love, and that's exactly what she gave us: a love that was pure, powerful, and everlasting.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
— Psalm 34:18 NLT

So as we continue forward, through our tears and with God's help, we will carry her light. We will speak her name. We will live her legacy.

Because even in sorrow, “Amor” endures.
